Canggu

Like many parts of Bali, Canggu became famous for its consistent surf breaks many years ago, and although the sand-covered reefs are still extremely popular among surfers, this region has become a hub for those wishing to live outside of busy Seminyak in tranquil surroundings but still enjoy the benefits of only being 20 min from all the fine restaurants and amenities of Oberoi and Seminyak.

Compared to prices in and around Seminyak, this region is still very reasonably priced. Canggu has a great relaxed atmosphere bar/restaurant with a "true Bali feal" (The Beach House) situated right on the waters edge. Currently, agents in the area (PAM Bali, Bali Property Online)say that land value appreciates between 15%-20% per annum, and the region has experienced great history in the past 4 years, but prices in the past 12 months have stabilised to some degree. A few villa projects are underway in the region also. Tourist rental yield is sound as long as the property is within close proximity of the beach.
